OK, so, cosplay is still very much a new thing for me. A few years ago I tried it by piecing together a Mitsuki Konishi (from The World Ends With You) costume and wore it for a day around Anime Fest. Two people recognized me and my feet wanted to fall off by the end of the day. It was an interesting experience. Fast forward to last year. A friend and I were discussing how awesome Sherlock is and that we should totally do a Sherlock/Watson cosplay. We were going to debut it at Anime Fest this year, but I forgot my pants at home. Whoops. Right now my costumes include Black Canary (DC Comics), Sherlock, Konishi (if I can ever get back into that dress again), and a White Rabbit (to go along with the aforementioned friend's Zatanna cosplay). So far, I've bought pieces and then pieced them together. The exception being that for Konishi, a ruffled had to be sewn onto the bottom of the dress and a collar added to the shirt. Also I hand sewed Canary's choker. Otherwise it's all been pieces bought here and there and thrown together. This year, however, I decided I wanted to cosplay Captain Liberty from the live action The Tick TV show. I plan on doing this one from scratch, hopefully in time for next year's Dallas Comic Con, or even All Con. I've also added Poison Ivy to the mix, which will be partially bought and partially constructed. The corset I plan on using just arrived in the mail today and it's gorgeous.

Uggg why didn't anyone tell me that once you start, YOU CAN'T STOP. Now I'm looking up boot sleeve tutorials and shopping for heat guns and EVA foam. Send help.

Hey gang! If you're a fan of yaoi, be sure to check out my recent interview with Alex Woolfson, the creator of the science fiction yaoi webcomic Artifice. If you're not reading Artifice, you really should be. It wrapped up this past weekend, and the entire comic is available to read for free online. If you like it and want a hard copy, there's still a few days left in Alex's Kickstarter campaign to get it published.

For everyone else: A BIG thank you to my recent influx of watchers! Most of you came for the Mass Effect fan fiction. I'm still working on a couple more Vega/FemShep stories, so I hope you stick around for them. When I'm finished, I'll probably go back to posting my OC D&D short stories, which I hope you'll also like.

Hello, anyone who has been stopping by! Impressed with a friend's writing efforts, I decided to share some of my own. I started out by posting stories about a Dungeons and Dragons character named Triela. You can already read those in the gallery. I've posted about all the stories about Triela that are complete or that I feel like sharing, so I'm going to move on to another character - my elf mage Lavinia. Then I'll probably post some stories about my all time favorite character, Helena. These are all short stories I wrote, either as backgrounds, epilogues, or spinning off of events that occurred in the game. Helena is a bit of an exception, because I've been writing enough stories about her to have a small novel, if I ever finish. At any rate, I hope you enjoy them.
